    What if FDR had lived?

You do realize, we could not have invaded Normandy without Stalin? For every one German soldier the Allies faced on the beach, the Russians faced three. Could you imagine the carnage if we had to face all the Germans fighting in Russia on top of the Germans already there? As for Mao, Roosevelt...

    I am totally flabbergasted . . .

What I am gathering from all the different sources out there, The Pound briefly hit either $1.03 or 1.05. By briefly, I mean just that, latterly for a minute or two, then stabilized back up at $1.24 to close out that day. I am sure that caused a lot of traders to have hart palpitations. Today...

What was the last TV show you watched?

I also watched Timeless. One big problem, I am having trouble hearing the three stars voices, they are just two soft! If I turn the volume up, the music and special effects are deafening. I will try one more time next week.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

I will be glad when Lee Greewood's song disappears for another four years! Why not play a good song like this?

    Autumnal Thoughts........

We have both. Water and steam heat have boilers, my Victorian has that. Then there are furnaces, which are usually forced air, where a heating element gets nice and hot, then a fan blows the heat out of the registers, or vents, usually, with a blast of cool air at the end of the cycle. I like...

It's even more impressive when you realize, that it was originally planed for June 5th. Eisenhower had to cancel it, and then every thing had to start again the next day!

What was the last TV show you watched?

The Thundermans. I was over at my neighbors house, they were babysitting their Granddaughters, age 3 and 5 I think. They insisted I stay and watch the show. I am increasingly convinced, that they may look like to adorable little girls, but they are actually evil geniuses in disguise, and get...

    I am totally flabbergasted . . .

Not sure how old you are, but in 1985, the Pound hit a low of $1.03. I remembered this because several rich Americans ran over to the UK and bought some Spitfires and Mosquitoes, at blow out prices! I was just thinking the other day, I wish I had a spare $32,000, then I would put it in an...

What are the chances of me finding a stray Buco label..?

One thing I am going to do before I die is, have a Hawaiian shirt sewn into a leather jacket, for the lining, complete with it's label. I think it would be a fun mystery to some one in the future that gets my jacket! ;)

    Interesting Observation

Actually, 1966-1976 was not nearly as much of a seismic shift in fashion compared to earlier times! Think what a shock it must have been to the older generations, when men stopped wearing robes and started to wear Pantaloons, oh the horror! Or, after the American Revolution, when young men...

I think the Army is phasing it out, in favor of the beret. All the other branches still wear the C Cap. Trivia, the Army Air Corp called it, a Flight Cap!

Could this be the latest craze in leather outerwear?

Actually, I do want one! I have ruined several shirts and pants while using the hand cutoff/grinder wheel, from all the hot sparks. This just reminds me how easy it would be to make my own.
