    DC-3 / C-47

Lets not forget the Curtiss C-46 Commando! Not as pretty, but even more capable, still serving every where from sweltering jungles, to The Great White North!

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

The Pace That Thrills (1952) Not a very good movie, but noteworthy because it was the transitional period in American racing, going from predominantly V-Twin motorcycles to light weight British bikes! A note that some of you will get, the Matchless single had the M badge right side up. I wounder...

    Autumnal Thoughts........

We were in the same boat, experts said it would take decades to recover, then the rains came, flooding, mud slides, lakes and reservoirs are full again and now we are out of the drought. Unfortunately, other parts of the state are still in drought conditions. Moisture is a fickle mistress!

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Although, somewhat radical, the Geneva eggs are really good. But they do have a tendency to over power the King James egg!

The Great WWII Aviation Movie Thread

Funny coincidence, when we parked to get lunch today, I could hear the sound of two Wright R-2600s! Sure enough, there it was over head, a B-25, man oh man, love it!

The Great WWII Aviation Movie Thread

I like the electric motor powered P-40s used in some of the scenes. Otherwise, there is little in the way of facts, other then the AVG was in China! They did not fly operational missions until after December 7, 1941. Plus there were no suicide bombing missions. Why could't they have shown the...

    2016 Goodwood Revival

We have three club members with Morgan's. Two of the ubiquitous Plus 8s, and one with a right hand drive Plus 4, that sounds great! The newer Plus 8 is so quite, you can hear the electric radiator fan over the V8!

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Escape From Planet Earth (2013) A few people I know recommended this movie. Wasn't sure at first, but turned out to be pretty funny! William Shatner turned in a great performance for a change.

Thunderbirds (2004) Since I have never watched the TV series, I just could not relate. From the little I have seen, the puppets were better actors! :D

    What if FDR had lived?

Actually, that is not true, there was air support! The Alabama Air National Guard was ordered to train sixteen Cuban exile crews to man Douglas B-26 Invader bombers. In any event only eight attacked on that day, and only disabled half of Castro's air force. One mistake by the CIA, was to paint...
