Here is the bag.
ACTUAL BUCKLES! OH MY GOD!!:
No more magnets that wear out! No more clasps that break and open when you don't want them to! REAL BUCKLES AND STRAPS!!
Handy front pouch, with space for pens etc.
Big rear storage-area.
Zip-compartment. Handy!
At the time...
I bought an old leather bag today at a vintage clothing-shop. I managed to hack $15.00 off the sale-price, by virtue of me being a regular at said-shop, even though I rarely buy anything.
The bag is in whole condition, but I would like to treat it somehow, to preserve the leather. I wonder how...
I was wearing my new Panama today. It must've been very hot, because I saw two other men (both older chaps. One in his fifties, one in his 70s/80s) wearing Panamas as well. One at the supermarket, one on the tram.
I didn't take a picture, but...
Blue-Jeans (I beg your mercy and forgiveness)
White socks.
Brown Florsheim wingtips.
Light blue button-down shirt (shortsleeves)
Belt.
Red cravat.
Panama hat.
I love the binoculars. Very snappy!
Haha! Thanks.

My dad has like four or five bags. he chops and changes between them according to what's happening. As a result, a simple request of: "Son, could you get my 'phone?" could turn into an oddessy lasting several minutes. Since I never have any idea where his phone is, or which bag it's in.
Violins are held together purely by glue and pressure (I heard somewhere that nails etc, affect the sound-quality). After being in the middle of the Atlantic, I reckon it would take a while to get it back to working order. Even if they wanted to do that.
I'm not a green or a pastels colours sort of person. And the 70s seemed to be injected with that stuff everywhere. One reason why I never liked it. Although I did grow up in the 80s and 90s, which were still suffering the hangover from the 70s.
I think Grantway is right. They're neckerchieves or neck-scarves or something like that. Cravats are wider.
I assume the dressed look would be something like this:
