I'm just out running around before it gets hot. Washing the car, running errands, getting cash for the trip.... grabbed some grungy shorts, flip-flops, tough Carhartt shirt and the old LL Bean/Stetson Moose River for the ride!
BTW, you guys and gals look so great, as always. I sure appreciate...
Happy Fathers Day!
I highlighted the part above as this was my first impression of my Coober Pedy upon opening my delivery from Oz. It does grow on you, and it does handle the rain with aplomb. My Akubra was the lighter Sand felt, and throughout a couple rainy walks it got a little wet...
It really was a great day. The kids were happy, so we were too.
LOL, those socks were purchased with July 4th in mind. I just got to use them sooner than I thought I would! You're killin' me with those shots of your navy Gannon, Red! What a hat!
@Michael R. : Thanks, brother! I hope you...
You're going to be inviting other F Loungers to bid against you... you might hold off on sharing your links to hats you are interested in. That one says Custom Edge on the sweat, but I don't think it looks like a Cavanagh Edge from the pics... but it's hard to tell. But heck, a Knox 20 is a...
Thank you! I got the email from AE, and with the utmost in sly sleuth, forwarded it to MrsFed... LOL. I saw her looking at my ebay AE burgundy/black specs and figured something was up... so she got the size perfect! Hehehe.... she also got me some brown socks, which I needed. :cool:
I wish I could find the full page ad of the little snippet on the subs and the Eagle....I saw a 1943 Look Magazine that supposedly had that ad in it, but the mag already sold for $68.
For several weeks now (8? 10? 12?), a young man at church has commented on my hats by saying, "Brother, I LOVE your hat!" It started with the 50's taupe Royal Stetson, which got 3 raves in one day, and has continued every week since. Three times I took my hat off to see how it fit on his head...
@1mach1 Wow, Harv, what a great stable of fine Weis lids! And more to come?!? Fan-freakin-tastic! I don't know about the others, but I'd love to read a short description on every single hat!
@EstherWeis what a great showcase of your talents! I love your work!
So we've been running until about now. Breakfast, church, lunch, running kids here and there. Whew! It was a nice day! Kids made me handmade cards and made me cry reading them. I'll keep 'em. MrsFed got me a card, some socks and some rockin' Allen Edmonds 1776 spectator shoes (red, white...
We're about 1-1/2 to 2 hours from Eugene. The southern Oregon coast is gorgeous. I used to head down there about twice a month 2005 - 2007. Mike Millers NW Hat Co is there in Eugene. I've been to visit Mike about 4 times.
