Super sweet lid, Anthony. I've never seen The Eagle from Stetson before this week when you posted that Stetson ad. Hell, I'd never even heard of The Eagle... very sharp looking fedora, and a grand collection of Vita-Felt hats!
Has anyone else ever seen one before?
Hold the hat from the back and apply the steam to the outside front area. Some guys just run their hats under the shower. I use distilled or filtered water and boil the water on the stove top.... place a lid over 2/3 of the pot and then hang the hat over the steam. Works like a charm.
I'm still deciding myself on hats. Looks like MrsFed and I need to drive back to the Dentist's office to have him look over her surgery from a week ago... everything has to be right before the trip to S.A.
I'm thinking I'll take the new-to-me Portis for the road trip! Pics from yesterday:

Sweet Resistol, and great pics!
In case you didn't notice, the guy in the hat is made of wood! :)
You look swell in that OR, Jim! Scrumptious felt!
I never get tired of seeing that Racine! Super cool!
Darn it, Perry, you're rockin' that tall Stetson and Color-full shirt!
A fantastic Lee...
I should have said, my first Portis too. It's a very nice hat. Thank you for the kind words! It means a lot coming from one who has such nice vintage lids.
This is not my doing. It's all on the hat. Portis Tissue Lite from @moontheloon arrived vis USPS this very afternoon and I'm so stoked with this felt! My first lite weight felt, my first thin ribbon. Suh-weet! I tried to change this up to a diamond crease, but it popped right back to this...
Oh, no, that crease stays right where the hat wants it to be; doesn't need any steam IMO. It's perfect! Some of the best felt I've ever handled, too!
Thanks Bob! I love it!
Thank you!
This came in today from fellow lounger @moontheloon :
What a sweet hat! Portis Tissue Weight, grey, with medium violet undertones. I tried to crease this to a diamond and when I put it on my head it went right back to this c-crease. Soft, velvety felt; a joy to handle and mold... Thanks...
Thanks for the kind words, guys. I wonder if a thread along the lines of Pay It Forward would fly here in the FL. Maybe something like: "Felt it Forward!" ???
