    Opinions wanted

Hello, Q. Welcome to the Lounge! That first hat grabs me more than the second one. I'd say the straw is practical for your stated use while the Kodiak is functional as well as stylish. Neither of these hats are what I would consider actual fedoras but that's fine. We like lots of types of...

    Suddenly it's suede :-(

Y'know, I sure wouldn't have thought it was suede by viewing the seller's pix. I recently bought some surplus wool trousers from a seller with a "No Returns" policy. When they arrived they weren't what was expected in terms of size. I contacted him nicely and let him know I was aware of his...

ALL ORIGINAL Irvin RAF type Jackets - Loving that Wolf in sheeps' clothing!

P.S. If the even older RAF Irvins are nicer than this in terms of cut and construction, they must really be something special. Sigh.

Darnit - you're right! :o Kilroy pointed out my confusion in another thread here where I made the same mistake. I'm gonna' edit out most of the pix to neaten up the page and just leave the gist of it so future visitors understand what you and I are now talking about. Thanks for the tip! :)

ALL REPRO R.A.F. Irvin type jackets

Thanks, Kilroy! I was wondering about all that. Really didn't know. I'll enjoy reading and learning at that link. Also, I edited out most of the photos to neaten up this thread but left the gist so these posts make sense and for others who may have the same confusion I had. :)

ALL ORIGINAL Irvin RAF type Jackets - Loving that Wolf in sheeps' clothing!

I scored an actual vintage 1962 Irvin today while thrifting. :) I'm thinking this one might be up for sale to one of you here if there's interest. It's labeled 44. I usually take a 38L in a suit coat or blazer. I'm 6'1" and slim. This jacket fits like all of a 42 or maybe truly a 44. It's a...

    WTB: THIS HAT!

I've always wondered the same thing. That peach color just seems odd to have been a choice at the start. However, it does make an interesting combo now.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

No need. That's what pockets are for. ;) :D ------------ Thanks, folks. The vest isn't as old as the hat and boots but I bought it new over 25 years ago. The satin liner is in tatters but I love the thing.
