Another nice example of a 1930/40's double breasted suit being altered during the 1950's or early 60's.
The collar and lapels, the square pocket flaps reveal that it once was a double breasted jacket.
Also the wide legs have been narrowed to 50's taste.
American 1930-40's sportcoat made of light brown gabardine.
Label of "Raymond Levine - Chicago" back then one of the finest haberdashers in Chicago.
Nipped waist, padded chest and back vent. Size 38 Regular.
The "sad readers" was not directed personally at you. Sorry for writing it that harshly.
Non-German speakers of course are at a disadvantage.

Here by the way Le Corbusier with his co-workers... some nice 1940's European casual clothing...
The back is 77 cm + 4 cm collar.
57 cm / 22.4 in chest
52 cm / 20.4 in waist
48 cm / 18.8 in shoulders

Trouser waist or...

The sleeves of the Austrian work jacket have been let out (and a cotton edge added) to 64 cm.
The back length is 68 cm (including collar). So yes... rather short.
