Interesting link.
From the missing socks, skinny trousers to the garrish color combos and flimsy "Super"-fabrics...
The contemporary fashion examples are without exception horrible.
And a lot of those "bespoke bloggers" call vintage suits "costumey"?
Bah bah... :eusa_clap With Chelow, Tomatoes and plenty raw onion I hope.
For me it was self-cooked Fesenjan. Also my lunch today... and probably tomorrow. I cook too large portions. :D
Maybe this is something for you gents?

@TSP13
Thank you!
Where is that quote from?
I think this is a myth. After all the highest Czech political leaders - Edvard Benes and Klement Gottwald - also used this car.
Maybe the Nazis got bad drivers or where driving too recklessly...
In the Munich Gallery for Modern Art ("Pinakothek der Moderne") there are currently four highly interesting cars at display.
All are very advanced Austrian/German/Czech designs from 1936-38 that were produced.
Karl Jenschke's designs for the "Steyr Baby" (Austria 1936) and the "Autobahn...
Helpful as always! Thank you.
I wonder why Rockel would sell these "Prima Haarhut" labelled hats without showing their name (only hidden on the paper label)?
Is it a type of "store-brand"?
Two more German Homburgs in size 60 cm. This time light grey.
The first one is certainly older (late pre-war or early post-war).
Marked only as "Prima Haarhut" and stamped "HEBECO" under the leather.
Can our experts here tell more about these?
The second one is a 1950's Wegener with more...
What I am going to wear this afternoon/evening:
- British 40's navy Pinstripe DB
- German 40's grey Homburg
- German 30's silver and red herringbone silk tie
- German 30's white spearpoint collar shirt
- German 30's silver cuff links
Of course with black shoes.
Yes - it is quite a lovely color - dusty camel I'd call it.
The photos in the first post show the true color - it is not grey.
10 cm crown front (creased) and 6 cm brim.
It is cleaned and perfectly wearable.
I restored/steamed it (leaving the original crown shape) as it was quite beaten up...
This hat - found at a German second hand store - is a bit mysterious.
It has no markings other than the "Bristol"-Scroll on the leather.
I presume by the style and proportions that it dates to the late 40-50's.
Is it British or German with a pseudo-British label?
Anyone ever heard of this...
Making a vast array of literature and knowledge available to hundreds of millions people, many who otherwise couldn't have afforded it, is his legacy.
Whether there was some bunk among the books or the question whether Haldeman did or didn't evade taxes, pales in comparison to this colossal feat.
You are welcome!
(BTW the small-sized Mayser velour is being shipped to Garret - hope it fits him.
Otherwise he might possibly consider passing it on to you.)
Are you interested in the small-sized black German (and Tirard for German market) Homburgs and snap-brim Fedora?
I got no offers so...
German brown "Homburg" hat size 60.
Very tall and full crown - medium wide ribbon.
Made by Rockel. It has only two paper labels: one handwritte nreading "2" and another one with the size 60.
The sweater leather is ultra-thin and reads "real Rockel hair (fur)".
I would appreciate your...
