How do I unpin and repin a razor? I've never done that before. Do I need any sorts of special tools? Or can it be done with stuff that I have just lying around the house?
I have a question for straight-razor users.
I recently purchased a very nice BENGALL straight. It's in perfect condition apart from ONE annoying little issue.
Sometimes when I close it, the blade strikes the edge of the scales. The scales are celluloid faux-ivory.
Is there any way...
In the case of my grandmother - You know you're getting old when the candles cost more than the cake.
If she was alive today (and she died just 3 years ago), my grandmother would be 100 years old next month.

Happy Easter to everybody!

It was always ' + . I'm stumped!
Interesting predicament.
About the only way around this would be to buy regular DE razor-blades (still manufactured in their billions) and cut notches in the blade-ends. But these blades are designed to be very flimsy and breakable. So I would be very careful about trying that.
I always thought class/university/school rings were a chiefly AMERICAN tradition. I've not seen it being done in many other places on earth. It's offered here in Australia, and possibly in England (?), but I don't know where else this tradition exists.
I agree with Atticus. It's too simple to be a university/college ring.
I had my college ring produced when I graduated back in 2010 or whenever it was. It had my graduating year, the university, and my degree (B.A. Bachelor of Arts). I don't see anything like that marked on that ring.
