Also picked up this no-name pair of vintage black bluchers. Simple, and with the rounder more work shoe shape, paired with some cuffed up Levis, they suit my occasional Rockabilly-ish mood.
You should've seen 'em when I got 'em. Looked destroyed - but cleaned and shined up well.
Thanks for showin' 'em to us, Stoneface! :)

Thrifted some odd ones lately, but I like 'em.
Vintage JC Penny's in 9-1/2 B. Perfect fit for me! Very nice leather. Not sure what to call it though. Calf? Cordovan? It has a slight pebble but a high-shine toe. Ideas/Info...
Great stuff, guys! :eusa_clap

$1 got this panama from a thrift store the other day. Course, yes, but real supple, easy to roll. Will make a good traveler. :)
Nicely done, D-guy. (Wonderful colors on those, btw.)
When you put different shape to 'em it's like getting new hats! Just a matter of degrees changes the whole look. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAYS, BOYS! :eusa_clap

Hey, click that Shorpy shot for the large image. Check out the guy in front row, squatting, second in from left. He's sure got his Paul Newman goin' on. But this guy had it first! Great jacket he's wearing too.
A lot of that stuff is instrumental and that always helps in terms of being entertaining yet not too distracting. Gives you a little soundtrack to your own movie. Classical works that way too, but the pop music precursor chord progressions in the swing and jazz stuff from that era ring more...
Thanks, Shangas!
Yup, I think you could easily get a dozen ties on it. The back plate has two small holes for attaching to the wall or back of a door.
Novelty is exactly right. Love this hokey old stuff! :)
Sharp photo, Forgotten Man. Great knot in that tie, huh?

Picked this oldie up for a couple bucks. I call it Dial-A-Tie, or the Wheel Of Fashion. The main part seems like Bakelite. Funny; they left you on your own for the hat choice.
Looks kinda' Deco, doesn't it...
No branding, just a "9" printed inside. I like them a lot too. Got them at a thrift store a couple years ago. Three bucks or something like that. And they are the softest leather ever. :)
