If the modern sizes fit me, it would be a problem. 59 is too small and the 60 is too big... but holy crap! for the money on that Panama.... like I said, if I wasn't flying to Ecuador Friday I'd call and buy one of those for myself! And the Whippet for $65? How can you say no to that, even if...
I know what you guys are talking about. The downer is looking at your bank statement and seeing how much you actually spent on hats last month, or the last 2 or 3 months. My recommendation? DON'T do that!!!
I've had Mike fix some hats and make me 2 customs. I just went and looked at a brim binding done at the Vancouver, BC, shop.
I'd suggest you use Mike. Look at pics on his Facebook page, and then the fb page of your local shop.

Extraordinary! What a fabulous hat, and an incredible piece of history. I saw the Eagle ad on the first page here, and thought maybe this other WWII ad might fit as well. Stetson had quite a few "Loose Lips Sink Ships" types of ads with their actual wording as "Idle Words Make Busy Subs."...
