    Old gas stations

The Mobil station on the corner of Nevada Av. and Platte Ave. Colorado springs, Co, sadly gone now. As you can see, it was quite the hot spot for participants in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb!

    Safari Express rifle pic thread

It's not so much what's out front, but rather what is propelling the 9mm bullet. Here is a 9.3X74R next to a 9mm Luger. The 9.3 is a little smaller all around then the .375 H&H, but has taken everything right up to elephants, just like the H&H!

What was the last TV show you watched?

Sun Records. Funny thing, when I started watching the series, I could not wait for the part where all the stars achieved success! Now I am going to miss the earlier back stories before they was!

Seamen First Class Don Rickles served aboard the USS Cyrene, a PT Boat tender in the Pacific during WWII.

    Stars And Their Cars

While it wasn't his, I always liked John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara with the Stutz Bearcat, in The Wings Of Eagles. Johns beast movie, where he showed he could actually act!

Just confused that a man of normally impeccable taste would like that infernal machine.

    Show us your vintage home!

The tree we have been trying to cut down since last year, decided to give up one of it's branches! Took the city over 24 hours to disconnect the power! Lucky there was no fire, not to mention a fried cat or squirrel. Snow and electricity.

A new Avro Lancaster restoration - to FLYING condition!

This will give you a little taste of what it sounded like! The BBC was recording the call of the nightingales, when it picked up some Lancaster and Wellington bombers headed for Germany. It gave me a chill down my spine!

How about a flintlock Trapdoor Springfield in Daniel Boone? :D

What was the last TV show you watched?

Star Trek Voyager: Concerning Flight. I still get a kick out of Leonardo da Vinci!

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

If they can get into your bank account with just you saying yes, then you need to change banks! It sounds like another urban legend, like flashing your lights will get you killed by gang members, or the shirt in the windshield wipers!

What was the last TV show you watched?

Humongous Moves. The National Railroad Museum in York, England wanted to get all six surviving LNER Class A4 steam locomotives back together. They had to haul The Dwight D Eisenhower from Green Bay, Wisconsin, and The Dominion Of Canada from Quebec, Canada. Very fascinating logistics!

For better or worse, I think Robert Moog was the true father of synthesized music.
