    Courage to Wear a Fedora

If you are a hick in the sticks as am I, perhaps a thin ribbon is a solution. It has more casual/rural/working class associations. Less pretension (lacking a better word), perhaps. Hank, Woody & such, just a thought. If your bean is small enough, go for vintage, imo. :welcome:At any rate...

    YOUNG I.J. Hat

Didn't know where else this might go? If it were a size larger, I'd get it for myself, I have done previous hat buying from the seller & he has always been righteous in dealings with me. FWIW [huh]

    I want a cool cloth hat...any ideas

The above may look like, but is not, oilskin It is a cotton/poly blend. Sort of a canvas material. Cheap. Not especially light or breathable, the dark color may be a poor choice for full sun too. The brim is wired, I've only had it for a few weeks. So far so good. I would also endorse Tilly...

WATHNE (?) Tweed Hacking Jacket, belted action back, Surgeon's cuffs, throat tab

That's cool. EVERYONE wants to be Mick or Keef', no one wants to be Ron or Charlie or Bill, eh? Or, God forbid, Brian. The auction copy states it's Italian. It looked like high ticket for peanuts, we'll see.

The poof wearing a popped collar, French cuffs & an oversize cravat with a c. '88 Robert Smith wig, does not help that perception. "An' here all me pyrite shirts be at the dry cleaners, aaarrrr"!

...just means another from the shelf will have to hit the auction block, make some $$$ f/ ePay, but that's copacetic, no worries. True, that. Such thing are worth only what we decide, the worth we ascribe to them.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Are we in a slump? When a forty year old (conservatively) unworn, NOS, vintage Shudde Bros 7 1/2 L0 OR can't fetch the cost of a woolie, ya' gotta wonder. Bad time of the month to sell too, I guess might have worked against it as well. An anomaly perhaps, but from here it looks like a...
