    AMAZING Vintage Photos of Fedoras

The story I heard about the Roosevelt Muir photo was that the photographer had Roosevelt wear the hat he has on because it was in better shape that his favorite flop hat which he is holding in his left hand behind his back. It may have seen batter days on San Juan Hill.

    The story of a hat

I agree. There are many factors. I just thought I'd throw that out there as a consideration since it holds true for me, and I drank too much coffee yesterday.

    The story of a hat

I first fell in love with the fedora when I was just a wee lad watching G-men and George Reeves in the old black and whites beat up on guys whose fedoras never fell off. Like many of us, when Indiana Jones first came out, I fell head over heels for the shape of that hat and had to have one...

So what's the best remedy. Do they have an upgrade I can ask for with my LHB order or should I just wait until I have a problem and replace it on my own?

Feet Up! The Work Boot Thread

I have a couple pair of Danners and some real good pull ons. I wear em all in the mud, snow and ice and all other environs. I've always used Hubbard's boot grease. The beeswax pine tar combo keeps water out and keeps the leather from drying.

The Fedora Lounge Guide to Mackinaw coats

Amazing thread Dinerman. I've always liked the ones offered at River Junction and thought I would get one someday if my bride would allow. It would be a little harder to hide than a new pistol at the back of the safe. I was recently at Filson in Seattle and saw that they had some nice variants...

    Cuffs or no cuffs

Thanks again for your input. I emailed Carrie and had cuffs left off. I agree that the jacket will be more versatile with out them. If it gets cold enough I can add a long sleeve T under a flannel buttoned at the wrist. I like the glove suggestion also

    Cuffs or no cuffs

Thanks for all you're great input. For those of you who have cuffs, how hard do think it would been to remove them if I decided I did not like them. Is the cuff attached directly to the seem where the leather joins the liner or at a second seem sandwiched in the liner itself. I have two cloth...
