Who makes the most accurate summer (cotton) uniform?

Is there a well-recognized source for original/vintage army-navy clothing? i know there's a store in Sweden called Broadway & Sons, but they don't have too much in stock. Is there a US surplus store or an online shop that has just a ton of NOS?

    Red Wing x Indigofera 4328 Climbers — size 9D

https://imgur.com/gallery/Ph23rwM Just bought these boots on Wednesday, and wore them twice, only to realize I don’t love black combat boots... but you might! These were limited to 600 pair, and made with Red Wing’s Black Prairie leather that has a teacore effect. Plus the Vibram green soles. I...

Seen the new BMW horsehide jacket?

That looks amazing, but I have never understood the point of a “half belt.” Is it just for decoration? Does it somehow strengthen the back? Does anyone actually split the back of a single-panel jacket? I don’t get it. by the way, I tried on that BMW jacket today at a dealer. *horrible* the...

Seen the new BMW horsehide jacket?

That Vanson page makes me worry that there is no god. I actually have a Vanson jacket that I love, the Union Garage collab, I think called the Robinson. But left to their own devices, Vanson gear — and especially their marketing/website — reminds me of really bad fashion design from the 70’s...

Seen the new BMW horsehide jacket?

Here are a few more shots from the press release. I think I’ll order it Tuesday.

Seen the new BMW horsehide jacket?

No. I don’t think I could pull off red leather. I love the Aero Sheene look, but I don’t think it works great for motorcycle riding, depending on your bike. The Sheene hasn’t got much give in the back, which is important when reaching for handlebars or clip-ons. The SimmonsBilt Tailgunner is a...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I have an ARCO A-2 on order from Bill Kelso — dear God I hope they are working on it now, but he said it could take up to four months. I have a Tailgunner on order from SimmonsBilt that will hopefully be done much sooner, but they also seem to be working with a skeleton crew. I need that jacket...

    Blattwerk Leather - HELP!

Thuggee — seems like it’s been long enough I can highjack this thread (also, I want to know what happened!). I wonder what the qualities of the Blattwerk are compared to the Horween Lux? I am planning on ordering a Tailgunner from SB and need to decide. It‘ll be a motorcycle jacket for me, so...

Surely guns go with the look?

Good point, maybe i was being a bit too cavalier. I do, however, find firearms fascinating and wonderful for their mechanical design. Personally, i just shoot targets and clay pigeons, plus the occasional duck, so I appreciate the craftsmanship of these tools -- and of course we can't carry them...

Surely guns go with the look?

Here in Europe, it’s much more difficult to pack heat. But back in the USA, I imagine a handgun would go well with a fedora. Especially if you’re wearing an Open Road, a flight jacket, selvedge denim and engineers boots. Anyone have a favorite daily carry?

If you could choose, what city would you like to see crushed by a giant monster?

Trains run on time!!! HaHahaahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahhaahh. You have obviously never been to Germany. There is no such thing as an on-time train in this country. In Berlin, it's not even a thought. I think his point is that Berlin is cold, wet and grey and fcking depressing for 10 months...

Brick and Mortar purchase A2 Jacket in Italy? Europe?

It would be great to start a list of any and ALL brick and mortar stores, worldwide, where TFL people can find TFL stuff. Like a shopping guide forum. Does that exist?

Pants to go with my A-2

EDIT: I found the answer on the Eastman site -- it gives the makes of all of the jackets in the show: https://www.eastmanleather.com/my-mother-and-other-strangers-c-87_100.html ...Does anyone know which contract that A2 is? Up there in the picture from ``My Mother and Other Strangers?'' I want...

    Anyone ever seen a western-style A-2?

I love jackets with a western-style yoke on the back. It’s strikes me that someone may have manufactured a hybrid/Frankenstein, western-A2. But I know very little about these. Can anyone point me in that direction? By the way, on the subject of hybrid A-2’s: does anyone make an A-2 with...

    Cuffed Jeans

I will never understand the need for adults to cuff or turn up their jeans. By your age, you should be buying clothes that fit and wearing them properly. Something about trying to be fashionable rather than dressing for function seems less masculine to me (not trying to be offensive, just...

Stetson Open Road vs Akubra Campdraft

Isn’t the cattleman’s crease the whole point of an open Road? If you want a daimond bash and no tapers why wouldn’t you just get a stratoliner? No offense intended, and ignorance here freely admitted. But the point of an open Road, as I understand it, is to get a slightly dressier western...
