:)
And here are the duds I can store up there now:
Of course, I've still got my original closet arrangement in my study downstairs. It presently still has all the warm weather wear, but in a few months I'll swap the stuff around. :)
Allow me to rub it in a little, fellas. Whist some of you get scolded for being vintage-aholics, my baby actually suggested we convert our upstairs middle bedroom into a walk-in closet so I can keep expanding my collection of hats, and clothing. Helps me organize my Ebayables too. :D
Here are...
Cont'd...
Vintage Out-Box and vintage folders too!
My favorite satchels/briefcases. The more beat up they get the better I like 'em.
Forties or fifties drafting light on my art table.
Functional, yet merely decorative Royal typewriter.
Love my old Shaw Walker file...
I've got a few tidbits around...
The skull is over a hundred years old. It's a cast iron inkwell from my maternal great-grandfather.
I use this little spike for pick-up slips for shoe repair or dry cleaning.
Vintage fan, Ronson cigarette lighter, Park Sherman brass cigarette...
Thanks, Tomasso and Jeff, for the little 'plug'! :)
I really do enjoy making a couple bucks by uniting good vintage shoes with men who will properly appreciate them. And I keep a list of sizes and preferences from Loungers who have emailed me their specs.
French Shriners for five bucks. I love the color. Looks awesome with denim. Not in perfect shape, but not trashed either. Marked "8C" but fits like 8-1/2. Tight on me, though, so they'll go to the 'Bay. If no takers, I'll see about stretching them some...
Yeah, I think you summed it up. Nice style and colors but the leather (?) looks flimsy and the stitching is lousy when seen up close. Real hard to find the real thing (vintage) of shoes like this, however, so it's good, I suppose, that someone offers a repro'. How much do they a$k for these? I'm...
Looking forward to seeing you on that Hoarding show. lol
I have the bug too, but at least I like to be organized and have my surroundings look nice so when anything really starts to pile up or get to where there isn't a logical way to fit it into a drawer, etc., then I know to sort through...
Ain't this a beauty!? Cursory research indicates 1940s. After that the Art Deco style "DeLuxe" badge changed considerably. I think the control knob is bakelite but not sure. Very heavy base, and of course the top is glass. Works great! :D
Then there's these NOS shell cordovans. Actually had to cough up two-digits. They also fit but I've been trying to make a rule to offer NOS stuff for sale rather than put it to use, so... ;)
True for shirts too. I am long and lean. I take a Medium. It's a good thing I like the aesthetic of vintage clothing because that's the only way I can get a decent fit in most OTR shirts. Thirty-plus years ago "Medium" didn't mean 22" across the shoulders, gigantic armholes and enough torso...
One other thing, HepKitty; although there are usually no quick solutions it has been my experience that losers like these come - and go. Your job is to manage your best and outlast them. If you conceive of it as a contest or a 'war' then understand there will be setbacks and you won't win every...
Love guns - great tools. Really dislike the suggestions to use them illegally and irresponsibly. Just me.

Here's some advice. Get friendly with the dog. Here's why:
My brother once had a situation like this. He asked them nicely to keep the dog from making piles on...
