Tried to take some selfies while I was out wearing the Wayfarer earlier today. It's starting to get less stiff and developing character. I really love how it looks on me.
I don't think there's any silicone in SNO SEAL, but maybe you're thinking of a different product. The stuff I'm familiar with doesn't have any chemical odor, just a nice beeswaxy odor.

No idea, but it looks like a 1940s vintage jacket. I've seen similar details on Sears/Hercules jackets, but nothing quite like what you've got here. It's distinctive and looks like it's in very nice shape for its age. If the leather is in good shape, you've got a keeper.
I don't know how you can fit that 42 so well when my 44 is so tight on me, and we have basically the same measurements. I have to say it looks fantastic on you though, and your price is plenty fair. Someone should snap this up.
