His insects really appeal to me. I'll probably treat myself as well.
I passed through Nashville this afternoon.... Hilo, HI to Huntsville (daughter), then car to Ohio. If you were nearby, I assume you heard the sirens. Fortunately, I made the state line ahead of them.
I'm new to FL and have been enjoying the threads. Here's a picture of my house in Cincinnati and a second one with the three new chimney pots I had added last summer. This is 1923 Cotswold Tudor style.
...and for the southsiders, there was Beaubien Woods and the Calumet River. Now there's one river I wouldn't want to go near. The fumes could make you sterile.
Thanks, jayem. You got me distracted. Tahoe is pretty and the cold water angle could have merit, but for pure body count, nothing...
Gin - back in the fraternity days I over indulged on gin and slivovitz. My "brothers" stood me up between my mother's screen door and main front door, rang the bell, and ran. First and only night I ever spent in a bathtub.

WACO CG-4 Glider (WWII) - Gotta love them cause they were my father's ride to France after D-Day. They were made of cloth and plywood and towed behind a C-47.
Per Gen. Westmoreland:
"The intrepid pilots who flew the gliders were as unique as their motorless flying machines. Never before in...
Lockheed Constellation - I flew Ecuatoriana de Aviación to Quito, Ecuador in 1965 in this queen of aircraft. There will never be anything like this again. Someday when I've been around this site long enough, maybe I can post a picture through the window of flying over Cuba; well after the Bay of...
This is killin' me... I have 400+ vintage science fiction paperbacks - each cataloged and bagged. I brought 6 tubs up to the garage last month to finally sell for one money. Fortunately no takers. Back to the garage and now back in the basement. I figure I won't have any pension money left after...
