I appreciate the nice comments! I got to stop doing this or the wife will have my blanks in a jar. I am supposed to be cleaning up my stuff not playing with all of it. It is a pocket holster and it has the older Heiser mark on the front so it is old - I think pre 1925? Back is pretty boring...- Levallois

Last one, American Railway Express Company (1917-1929-ish) scenario - Colt Police Positive was sent to them in 1923. Badge is the real deal for Special Officer. The Remington 14 1/2 carbines are quite rare. By far the rarest of the Model 14 family. I lucked into this one at a price that I could afford several years ago. Haven't seen one since. Yeah, I guess it’s anybody’s guess. It’s got two lengths of fur and it’s “rougher” than any rabbit fur I’ve ever touched. It’s on a 1950s era Stetson Nutria Quality. I’ll just keep it on there until told differently. Thanks for your help. -

Thanks Bamaboots. It’s got a leather backing. I know it’s part of the hat’s history but I would be uncomfortable is this was actually leopard. I don’t know when this practice was stopped. -
