Thank you Edward for your considered reply. At the start of this thread I drew attention to Son Of Stag selling Freewheelers navy watch caps for £150, and S4rmark replied that it was the hipsters who would buy them. This all leaves me very confused...........people can wear whatever, but its...
sorry but I just don't buy these distinctions, or dividing line......most of us here like vintage clothes, but most of us do not dress exclusively in period clothes - we raid the past for what we like. So they guy who works a white collar job - but enjoys wearing red wings, selvedge denims and...
sorry I don't get it....who are the hipster community? Surely we would all fall into that community? I like to keep the H word in its original context and not use it as a general term to look down ones nose at other folks. Surely The Fedora Lounge, of all places, should be free of this attitude.
last Christmas my partner ordered me a watch cap from Mr Freedom of Los Angeles - it has a nice patch 'Sportsman' patch on it, but its essentially exactly the same as the ones available cheap in surplus stores. I think it was about $50. Maybe we should start a watch caps thread?
didn't know you could order direct, good to know thanks. Though I have to say I'm getting a bit frustrated with ordering stuff online and when it arrives it doesn't fit satisfactorily. I just bought a shirt from Ebay for £10 and its too big....feels like a tenner wasted. Apart from the cost...

I was pleased to see Son Of Stag are now stocking Freewheelers & Co of Japan - but seriously, who in their right mind is going to pay £149.90 for a navy watch cap - or wooly hat, as I would describe it. Any decent surplus store in the USA will sell you a wool watch cap for well under...
I'm 6ft, 160lbs - I got mine in a 40' with an extra inch on body & sleeve.....but I did get to visit factory and try on a couple of jackets.....recommended.
I own both an RMC N1 and much cheaper version by a company called Houston. They are both great. The RMC has a slim cut and oozes quality. Looking forward to seeing how your Freewheelers turns out.......I like their version with the cuff style, rather than wool, collar....and the D pockets...
