I have seen three different sizing systems used in gloves.
First the basic XS, S, M, L, XL (pretty basic)
Second a number system that indicates the number of inches around the widest part of your hand. See here...
If you are OK with EBay, I recommend keeping an eye on www.collectorsweekly.com. They have great stuff listed for both briefcases and messenger bags:

That is one beautiful kilt - is it a tweed or just a very small set tartan? Also, it looks like it wraps right over left, so the opening in the apron is on your left...I've only see kilts where the opening is on the the wearers right...
I have yet to find a hat that does NOT touch the top of my head! Even my Campdraft with a minimal center bash still touches the top of my noggin. I guess I've just got a high dome head.
I've had good luck at Jos A Bank. In general, the rise of their trousers is 12" for my size 36" waist pants. For me that puts the top of the waist band right at my navel.
I've also found higher waisted trousers at Macy's and Dillard's and other national department stores. The trick is to...
If you search for images of "1940s crowds" or "1950s crowds" you'll get a ton of images of what people wore in public - everything from suits & ties, to trousers and shirt sleaves...
My advice is to take your time. Give yourself the time to discover who you are and what makes you happy and then give that gift of happiness to yourself. You like hats? Then you should wear them.
After my divorce I realized I no longer knew who I was or what I wanted or even what I...

I've been tryin' to bring back the phrase, "Glad rags," as in, "Put your glad rags on baby, we're doin' the town tonight."
There's another good one: "Doin' the town."
I have the same problem. Apparently, that ring is NOT dirt, it's oil from your skin, so to truly remove it you need a soap that is designed to break up oil. Dawn does work if the stain has not been set in, but you need to scrub.
I've found that the Oxyclean spray designed for treating laundry...
