I had a suede "jeans" jacket when in my teens. As I remember, the collar became quite stained and had a bit of a shine to it. The rest of the jacket had all manner of stains and patina. And I, punk kid that I was, couldn't have cared less.
Sure wish that jacket was around now......
I believe the Model B that Thurston Brothers/Insurrection sells with the two-way zipper, is the Model B "Deluxe," and also the Model B "House Deluxe," which I have. The two-way is great to have on both these jackets, although I would prefer they offer them with brass instead of the nickel.
I've heard of naked cowhide shrinking after a good soaking but have not experienced this. My Schott Easy Rider jacket has been caught out in the rain a couple of times with no ill effects. When I got home it was hung on one of those giant, five-inch wide hangers from Aerostitch, and allowed to...
Alas......I don't believe I'll be ending up with a cast-off Board Track Racer.......

What are you going to do next week to top these? :D

I have one in brown, size 42. I do better in a 40 but this jacket seems to fit me just fine in it's "Plumbline" fit, with a bit of room for layering. The horsehide is the slightly "plasticey" finnish and has flaked off of the collar edges a very little bit....gives it that "broken-in old friend"...
