Certainly: I weigh around 155-160lbs and my chest measures a bit under 40 inches. For a jacket with a shoulder measurement of 19.5", a sleeve length of 25.5-26" works out pretty groovy. I can live with a bit less but 23.625" is going to look like I rolled up my sleeves in that "Keith Partridge"...
I'm not even all that tall, at 5'11", but those factory-given sleeve lengths are just too short for me: I'd look like I was wearing my kid brother's stuff.
Too bad, as I would otherwise be interested.
I have, at a Dallas motorcycle show, of all places. That jacket would have come in second-best to a piece of Saran Wrap.
The true Motorcycle Collection garments are the real deal though, as evidenced by the one a friend owned for some time.
Edward, the collar on my Schott #118 is very secure. What has always kind of rankled me about it is how the collar features kind of a "sleeve" that covers part of the jacket's smaller upper lapel "point." Maybe I'm the only one bothered by this and no one else seems to notice: when mentioned to...
Seriously, I actually do like the first one better. If you decide to go with the horse please get an extra one made and I will buy it from you. My wife teaches at a school whose teams are the "Mustangs." She would wear it with pride!!
You guys are nuts. The proper currency is to use is firearms. (Just in case any of you folks were not aware, Oklahoma has the largest number of firearms owned, per capita, of any state in the nation.)
Leather, being a very poor insulating material, won't provide much more than a good wind block regardless of the thickness itself. A warm lining, on the other hand.....
That being said, I like me some armor!!!
My opinion is that if we were all sitting around in an actual lounge, having a pint while discussing outerwear, the conversation would go off on different tangents, here and there. This is how just about every group-interaction in which I find myself involved goes, and I find it adds depth and...
^^^Me, too. If my right foot is happy then the left foot can wear anything. The right foot is always the "size setter" for me. I do write with my left hand, though.
If your new boots are anything close to the right size they should break-in nicely, but it does take a bit of time. I have recently received another pair of the Wesco boots, this time with a 16" shaft: I feel your pain as to removal, at present.
I can only wear the Wesco Boss (11" shaft)...
I find this simple style quite appealing. I guess you won't be riding in it this weekend.......
For the really hot Oklahoma/Texas summers, I've found the fully perforated Sportrider jackets that Vanson manufactures will get me to 100°F. Maybe a little more if I'm feeling tough. I like wearing...
