Selling My Hat Ephemera-Reciepts, Books, Photos, Etc.

I have a 3 ring binder with lots of items. It would be time consuming to put it all on ebay. Here are some of the items: -Pack of Champ Hats feathers -Silverwoods Window Trim ad packet (photos of store windows with hat displays) -1909 Stetson Receipt -Hill's Hat Journal, early 1900s -1900...

Selling My Hat Ephemera-Reciepts, Books, Photos, Etc.

Folks, I have a whole lot of paper items about hat history. Stetson receipts, store display photos, little ad booklets, some price lists, etc. The question is, would any of you be interested in any of it?

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

To my knowledge, the hat mutes are meant to muffle the noise, not be a tight enough fit to stifle it.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

My lord.... THIS has the be the most outlandish "he made it up out of his rear end" ebay auction description I have seen in years. See this picture below... Here is what this goof says about the aluminum hat item: Auction Title: "Vintage Unique Metal Top Hat Mens Fedora Handmade From Pot / Pan...

OTHER THAN eBAY Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Hmmm. Seems like some mixing and matching on that one. Maybe the hat was just added to the case later somehow? I'd need some really strong evidence that the 100 case belong to Truman, too. Seems like too many oddities on that. Not saying it is impossible, but it has some curious aspects, I...

OTHER THAN eBAY Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

On that Truman hat, that was not made "for" Truman himself. It was made for his presidential library. Stetson also made them for Reagan's, Nixon's and and LBJ's libraries. I have one from both the Reagan and LBJ stores.

Dating Your Hat (A Place to Discuss the Age of Your Vintage Hat)

Seems similar to Stetson's style, though. Maybe Stetson was a contractor for Brill Brothers?

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Well, at least he didn't get your hopes up that the hat was in a nice Stetson box. I had just the opposite happen. I bought an auction of a Stetson where the seller mentioned the box and showed that it was a pristine box. Then he slathered it in tape and sent it without an outer box. Not only...

Hey those are nice. Brand new Stetsonians. They are absolutely worth $60 apiece!!! At that size, you should be able to double your money on ebay, I'd say.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

I am glad the doc got them both. It kills my soul to sell these two rare items. But I am in bad financial shape right now and just have no choice but to sell. Wish I never had to because these two hats are amazing.

We're the ones to say because we're the ones buying them. Seems pretty simple to me.
