As long as it's not whine! That's too British! ;)
Yours looks great!. Reminds me that I have a Resistol Montecristi that needs some attention (and tlc)!
Thanks! My beard has been glowing a lot lately! True story.
FYI for anyone wanting to change the crease on a real stiff brim. Don't force it. You could literally crack the felt. Keep applying hot steam and it will eventually let go so you can mold it the way you want. Keep steam away from...
Just check the pictures real closely if buying online. Flaws and stains in the straw are easy to miss. I keep looking at them myself but have yet to pull the trigger on one. Buying a Homburg was a major step for me... and I still haven't quite gotten over it! ;)
Here's my afternoon entry on Fawcett Friday: a favorite Vintage Silhouettes dress weight beaver felt fedora in Silvermist with matching brim binding, and a dark burgundy ribbon with highlights in navy and silvermist.

Another great hat! If you're only going to have one Akubra then that's the one for you!
Well, you look great in both hats. Love the weave on that bowler!
I love your Akubra collection. Nice color on this one!
Between you and Samuel, that's 2 Como's in one day. Looks great! Como no?
Killer lid, Justin!
Are you starting to drink warm beer? That's a danger sign, you know... about becoming British!
Love that hat, Jeremy. And nice suit and tie, BTW!
Ha! Great look! Wonderful hat, too.
Looks like a great old Pilgrim to me.
I love it. Seriously, one of my favorites...

Classic deuce, Michael! I'd be tempted with that OR, too! I thought of you today when I found a new antique shop in town... with 2...
Other than looking on ebay, etc, as @Bamaboots suggests, a custom might be one route to check out?

I picked up this 5X Stetson several weeks ago. I like the cattleman crease fine with the shallow mule kicks front and back, the upturned sides.... but I just couldn't get used to the front brim. So I hit it with LOTS of steam to get that shellacked brim to let go a bit, and formed it down in...
Stetson Ambush? My buddy just picked one up off ebay, a 70s model I think, for the opening bid of $59. Saw one in my size for $125. I passed. I'm thinking you got a better deal...
Buy it and sell it. There's one on ebay for $249.99 Not saying I'd pay that, but you should be able to make a little on it to put towards a hat in your size.
Seeing navy hats lately from Daniele and Karl I had the urge to wear my dark navy Disney, BUFB! Remember The Milford One!
All brim up shots for Bob. It's something how the color can change on this just by turning my head to one side or the other.... and what's with my white whiskers acting...
