There seems to be a lot of debate here about Imperial v Heritage, especially the 'value' of the increased cost of Deluxe. Almost all of my hats are Akubra's. Many of them are Imperial (standard) felt but I like Heritage more. They don't look very different to me but the quality of the leather... -

Both Imperial and Deluxe Fed IV are available in Moonstone But only the Deluxe (Heritage) version of the Campdraft is available in Moonstone. -

Do you still have the hat? I've kept my first hat. Mind you, it's only about 10 years old. I don't wear it anymore but it's fun to keep it knowing that it was my first. I'll try to dig out a pic. -

Akubra FD4 Deluxe
I had the same experience with Heritage Akubra's being less oversized than Imperial. I think that's because the Heritage sweatband is a thicker leather. It certainly feels thicker but I've never bothered to compare them side by side. -
