There's a little note card going around that was posted on a table at a gun shop that reads something like, Dear Lord: When I die, please don't let my wife sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them. I guess that can apply to hats as well! My wife didn't say anything about my hats... -

But that's what it comes down to if you're buying retail. Even with the great prices from Garland, I'd still send the hat to Mike and have him fix the ribbon "tacks." I'm sure it's a personal thing, but those tacky tacks stick out like the proverbial sore thumb. -

I saw a nice camel fedora at NW Hats... Mike said his daughter, 11 years old, helped him with it. raw brim as I recall with a brown ribbon/bow treatment. It was really sharp, about the same color as a camel hair over coat or sports jacket. I'll bet that camel OR clone will look fantastic once... -
