I would say, direct. These are a great group of guys here, and their experience and knowledge are considerable. It's easy to misinterpret things in writing on an internet board. I'd say just take their suggestions to heart and learn, learn, learn.... except for @Bob Roberts , just block him...
When you see a size tag in a Stetson that shows both the USA size and the European cm size, then it's not so old/vintage. I look for 50's and earlier myself, although I have nice hats from the 60's - 70's also.... the older hats generally have better felt, ribbon, etc.
The Adam is the better hat, IMO. And the brim looks to be right about where you want it; certainly more than 2", and closer to 2-5/8" like you stated above.
That thin ribbon Stetson is super nice, too, and has the vintage box and all. In a year... you'll like the thin ribbon hats as much or...

When Michael made my first Gannon he told me he didn't have any LO blocks. He told me has has them now, though. So I would say only in the last few months did he make any hats from LO blocks.
I would say that most of the LO vintage hats I have fit best, but not all.
