the blue looks killer.......best looking N1 for me. But I couldn't live with the back stencil. Interesting that the different colour is a different cut.
spotted this RMC N1 for sale on Marrkt, but the quoted measurements perplex me......the size 38 I just sold had a shoulder width of 18 and a P to P of 22.5. Anyway I don't want one with the large rear USN stencil...
thanks - Ive probably contributed a few comments in the above threads. I wanted this thread to pull together all the info......brands, fits, history etc.
Good info thank you! I'm leaning towards the Bronson. Here's the Bill Kelso version I mentioned above
13-ounce jungle cloth shell
Alpaca-lined collar
Liner: Pile 50% alpaca and 50% wool
Zipper and button-through fly front closure (Japan made Talon)
Plain cuff with knitted wristlet inside...
thanks Blackadder, this is exactly the kind of info I was hoping for. With regards to BR's.....yeh the blue Demotex definitely had longer sleeves.....I'm sure I read somewhere the sleeves should come up short because its a work jacket, but maybe thats rubbish. Also aren't the William Gibson...
Ok folks lets talk about deck jackets. I've been on the deck jacket journey for around 7 years, and I've pitched in my thoughts on more than a few threads here. But it would be good to pull our resources and have a ongoing discussion about brands, fits and of course the history of this...
anything considered.......prefer one without USN stencil. RMC, Buzz, Iron Heart, Bronson, Bob Dong, MF. Could be an N1 or variation.......blue, olive or khaki, whats out there?
