Green Mallory 7 1/4 on OFAS
I've got a nice green wool felt Mallory by Stetson on OFAS this week. I had bought it for use as a casual type hat but it just pinches my long oval head from front to back to much to be comfortable to wear and the stiffness is such that I really didn't want to battle it with the stretcher. It arrived at Optimo this past week for cleaning and reblocking--I asked about whether it had been treated or sprayed with something...they said it was a sulfer bleaching. -

I checked with Dinerman...appears to be a bit different coating. I hadn't even noticed it at first (haven't had a straw before), so at least I know whatever treatment was done, it is uniform and appears to be as intended. I'm guessing something to lighten the color. Anyway, I shipped it off... -
