The hat is all most done, brim has been sanded, sweatband sewn in, name stamped on sweatband ( Chief) will sew the bound edge on Sat. and the vintage Air Force Blue 16 linge hatband ribbon / bow on, and will flange the hat Sunday, hat will ship out via the UPS to you on Monday. When I get back to the hat shop on Friday evening, will get the brim sanded down really nice, will then decide the color for the bound edge and hatband ribbon, Sat morning will sew sweatband in, then stamp his name in the sweatband, will flange the brim and send the hat to him next Monday...- majormoore

The Bowler or Derby Hat
The hat we made for this customer, is a two tone , meaning we take two hats and end up with one hat, also the bound edge on the hat is a old vintage 12 linge ribbon that has a stripe in the middle . Brad, I do not heat them, I dry flange, meaning I iron the brim while on the flange with my cloth pulled over it, mist the hat and iron, place under the sand bagger and its over with about 30 min. later. We made Rocky's hat about 3 years ago, it is a 5 3/4 crown with a differant Gus that we do, the brim is 4 1/2" wide with a wide bound edge and a pencil curl on the brim, the hat is 100% beaver western weight.
