It totally helps, thanks for the fast response!
When I ordered my premier HWM in May, I was hell-bent on FQHH (which I still am) but as I've spent more time with these threads, the lure of Vicenza has caught me in it's spell. I still prefer very smooth leather (as I know it will acquire grain...
Carrie, the leather on these last 2 jackets is incredible! I've poured over this (and the main Insurrection/Thurston) thread and had one of many questions.
In the first 5 pages when you were receiving the first shipments of Vicenza, the leather was very glazed/marbled looking. As the different...
Amen, brother! It's nuts that with all of our tech advancements, the subtleties of great design have been cast aside. And this is in an age of excellent design! It's so weird, the fear of market rejection driving very conservative styling, IDK. With the exception, of course, of the hideous cars...
Nice, Asia was huge Piaggio market. The affectionate name they gave it was "Ape" - love it. ..."Honey, I'm taking the Ape out for a cruise"

Read this thread last night and lots of amazing posts, so I'll bite and submit my humble offerings:
• I'm awaiting for what should be my dream jacket to arrive: Aero premier HWM black FQHH (will post pics once it shows)
The vehicle list is long and varied, so I'll just add current drool-worthy...
Superlative painting, Steven. I searched for some of your work and found a handful of images and they are excellent. Not everyone knows how unforgiving watercolor is and you are obviously a master. Really beautiful work.
I painted for years and the German Expressionists (Emil Nolde...
I totally agree. I did ask about a removable liner in the HH version and the salesman told me to contact the company as they might do a custom order (which would cost more). An interesting option, although probably a trickier process with you being in Sweden.
The brown is my color choice but it's a more even color. It's not like the Aero HH with its beautiful glazed depth and slight color variations. A brown 641 is definitely at the top of my leather wish list - the east coast winters are cold and the removable liner in the steer version is great and...
Hello Johpe,
I'm new to the forum as well, having received excellent advice on my recent inquiries.
Your measuresments are pretty close to mine and I recently went into the Schott store in NYC and tried on 4 styles I was interested in: 530, 141, 641 (HH & steer) and the best fitting jacket of...
Hey Mike, I've just ordered my first Aero (agonizing over every detail as appropriate for a first-timer) and I wanted to congratulate you on an excellent outcome. The fit is fantastic - the color gorgeous - a total winner all the way around. I planned on only owning 1 Aero, but a dark brown...
I seriously appreciate all the input I've received here. Initially I didn't realize the premier HWM was boxier than others when I ordered my fit jacket. It was a gut reaction to the vintage look the jacket has. I now know SO much more and I really should've just flown to Scotland and tried...
I exaggerate - I didn't feel like it was wearing me. The fit jacket was an excellent semi-relaxed fit. If I were only allowed 1 aero and it was the fit jacket, I would be pleased as punch. But since it is a custom, I must strive for perfection...
I totally agree, Sloan. I kind of felt the jacket was wearing me in the pics. Everyone likes a different fit, but I like things more tailored/snug. The premier HWM fit will work in a smaller size, I'm confident. I love the details it has and i love that new collar. Thanks man!
Thanks everyone for the positive input and feedback! I've finalized my order with Carrie and I've gone with a size 38 minus .5" off the sleeves and body. As a skinny guy my whole life, I've grown to avoid anything that gives me "stork legs" and I do feel like in profile the 40 is approaching...
