Very interesting.....I've been a great fan of the late '50's '60's Stetson Gun Club sporting hat with a similar profile. I see this was made for Brooks Bros. in New York. But it looks like this might pre-date the Gun Club....What do you think? Was this sporting porkpie with the longer stiff hair...

They are all fantastic....The one I can't believe...Well, Red is a very dangerous color for a hat...Most of the time except for a beret or Santa Hat it can so easily come off costumey...
