I've been watching re-runs of Poirot on TV and, like Foyle's War, I just love this show. Captain Hastings has to be one of the best-dressed gents on the box. I tried to find a picture of his beltback sportscoat but was unsuccessful. I dig his style!
This looks cool in that it reminds of something a Star Wars character would wear - well, some of the jackets in the original film were modified British racing jackets.
There have been various commercials run here over the years advertising products for "the discerning man who knows quality." That's you, Van. One Thedi ain't enough. What a beaut!
Ah I just realised the word Feliksas was intending was 'mongrel' jacket, not ba***rd. Well, that's a more accurate word, anyway, it's a cross between different 'breeds'. All good working dogs are better when you mix the best traits of a couple of breeds!
I almost missed this thread scrolling down the page, sure glad I didn't! I reckon we should call it "The Lithuanian" in honour of you Feliksas as its creator! Frankenstein's creation might have been a monster but this jacket is a work of art, man! Every second bloke on this forum is gonna want...
Monitor I can't even bear to think of a jacket of any kind during summer where I live. The temperature varies between 97-106 degrees from December through to the end of February. So I'm of no help to you here other than to express my empathy and say I feel your pain!
Industrie brand varsity-style jacket I picked up at the end of winter 7 or 8 years ago in a department store for $90. It's very warm and is working a treat keeping the chilly wind off my chest and back. Winter has arrived!
So there seems to be this new 'thing' happening here in Sydney, new as in it's become a plague over the past few months, whereby drivers, and I use the term loosely, seem to take half a $%$#@^ hour to turn the corner of any given street or into a driveway.
The traffic here is now ludicrous as...
An excellent post Charles. God bless those Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today, and God bless those who made it through only to endure the traumas that come in the aftermath of battle. We've seen, and continue to see, too many battles together, our two...
It's a great fit, I can see why you didn't resist the purchase. It's good to see one in the wild, as you say Boyo we haven't seen much of this style outside the Aero website photos.
There are some A-rated turds out there for sure. My sister sells perfume on Ebay and has been scammed once or twice. Fortunately in the last case Ebay sided with her but it's frustrating for sellers having to deal with duplicitous characters day in and day out.
