Likewise, I’ve never even considered a light colour hide before, always been a seal or dark seal man. This is just strangely different - it’s going to take some getting used to.
The leather is different, no doubt, still hefty but more pliable than heavy horse. There is a small drop from back to front but not as pronounced as my 30’s half belt. If you look at the second photo, showing the back, you can see the drop.
Aero August in battered tan horsehide, 42”. Don’t recall seeing many of this pattern out in the wild so might be of interest to forum members. Aero list this as a medium weight horsehide but it’s got some heft to it.
