I agree! Although I find that I have to almost overtighten them so that they don't slowly sag throughout the day. Thinking about it, that might be because the ones I have, sit on the natural hip, which aligns with the stomach and throughout the day that that enlarges and contracts depending on...- mike

I think you're going to be surprised as just how light any ounce modern fabric is in comparison to vintage fabric. Ordering through Bookster or Old Town are probably the two companies that you would have a fighting chance for that not to be the case. BUT as you say, you're in California so... -
