    The Bowler or Derby Hat

I really like the lines of this one Bob. Could Clarkson be a department store name? There seems to be a plethora of Derby manufacturers in the early 20th century. Cool one!

    Northwest Hats, Eugene, Ore.

I have been remiss in keeping up with the NW Hats thread. Mike and I had a wonderful visit last Thursday. We talked hats, covid, gardens and life for about an hour and a half. I got to fondle some wonderful felt and straw, the best therapy one could have. Picked up my latest creation by...

    Post New Hats Here!

Some of you may have seen this one posted on Facebook (I spend too much Covid Lock Down time there lately), another Mike Miller creation that I picked up last Thursday. Mike knew that I was coveting the original Winchester black cherry felt dye color, the current one is way too black. He got a...

    Post New Hats Here!

OK, I know I've been bad about keeping up, trying to make amends. Put in a low bid on this Gordon 1930s Derby never expecting to win. $32.00 later, this pristine stiff felt was in my collection last week. Not the best weather for derby wearing, but cool mornings coming up, I'll get a head...

    Post New Hats Here!

Very nice Stefan! I'll have to go back through this thread with a fine toothed comb, been so bad about keeping up. I do love the tone of gray in Bismutto. This one is a sweetheart of a Borso!

    The Bowler or Derby Hat

I really have to do some catching up. I'll post this one in the New Hats thread also. I do take in strays from Ebay from time to time. Put in a bid of $32 on this Gordon Derby with a NRA tag. The photos just barely showed the c1933 tag and said the hat was pristine. Well, I won this one, I...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Thanks. It is one of the lightest felts I have. The sweat was toast, but Mike Miller fixed that. Great spring/fall hat.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

A successful escape from Casa 'Rona today. Began the food shopping for our 4th of July ACT BBQ. Finding ingredients for Patty's signature Calico Beans! Dressed up for Safeway on a Sunday. Just cool enough for a felt hat, this one is a Stetson Royal Deluxe from c.1957. Hat is old as I am, a true...

WTB: Royal Stetson beater hat 50s era

Boaters do not stretch well. I would hold out for the proper size. I have a Facebook friend that might be able to help. PM me your email address and I'll get it to him. He is not on the Lounge.

    Summer Hat Suggestions?

Yes it is the 'upgrade' version with the nicer sweat. It also seems to be more robust(?) than the regular version I handled.

    Summer Hat Suggestions?

I do like my Hemp. The one issue I have, which can be fixed with some steam, is the droopy brim. It needs to be put on a flange and tightened up. I think this would also make the brim a little wider.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

I got the wife out of the house for a road trip today! We visited the Oregon Thyme Garden about an hour away from us. Lots of inspiration for my Covid gardening. Bought some creeping stuff... Wore my early 1960s Dobbs Milan. In my grab and go pile of late.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

You always amaze me Alan! Very unique, cool details and the old address to boot! Seeing your hats was definitely missed in my self imposed exile. Love this Woimser. Such a cool color and weave Max. And it was designed on Broadway, that must make it expensive. Oh, I guess not, based on that...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Great lines and weave on this straw Stefan. I do like the ribbon treatment it came with. Good to see that the weather in Holland is letting you wear light straws. Quite sporty of you Michael. Always love the look of a boater. It is sunny here today, a boater may be in order for me too.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Went on a much needed road trip down to see Mike Miller at NW Hats today. He is doing well, busy as usual. He didn't miss a beat when the 'Rona shut everything down. We had a great visit, talking hats, gardening, and just catching up. Came up with a plan for my new custom, which is only a couple...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Finally sitting down to the computer this evening. Pardon my tardiness. I was able to visit my Haberdasher, Oscar this morning. I needed to drop off a thumb drive with some historical maps of Albany for him. Picked up a couple face masks. Fell in love with a classic seersucker suit, which...

7 1/4 (58cm) Black UK Manufactured Homburg Scottish Department Store Logo

Nothing is more classically elegant than a fine black homburg! Vintage felt from the mid century is superior in so many ways to what is available in modern hats. To this end, I have way too many black homburgs in my collection! I am going to offer up a few of them, mostly to spread the wealth...

    eBay listing: Vintage Mr. Disney - 7 3/8 - 1940s - Taupe - Whippet Style - No Reserve

Nice! I need a 7 1/4 though. Not a big fan of padding sweatbands.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

That is cool! I have had this one for a few years and have not researched the provenance. It does not surprise me that a European store would still be there.
