Its definately unusual... Hat felt is actually a greenish tint and the ribbon and binding have a rose colored tint. Its a nice change from silverbelly. I LOVE abnormal hats lol. There is some fading on the ribbon, and Ive already decided that if ever necessary, Ill replace with a new rose... -

I agree that most of the time an Akubra 59 fits me the same as most Stetson 58/ 7-1/4 (Im also in between 58 and 59) The Akubra hat in question is only marked as 7-1/4 ( no cm size)... my question is ... is an Austrailian 7-1/4 the same as a US 7-1/4? (or is it like a European size 7-1/4) -

Seems Ive bumped in to somthing "Akubra" several times today.. Got to thinking I havent worn the old Stockman in a while... so on the head it goes! This one had a couple rough spots on the brim edge when I picked it up... I trimmed it down to a 2-1/2" brim... Suits my sensibilities better than... -

Curious if an older Akubra that is marked as 7-1/4 is the same or different than a US 7-1/4? ( the one I noticed did not have any cm size marking) It always seemed to me that an Akubra 59 was in between a Stetson 7-1/4// 7-3/8 for fit on my noggin -
