Thanks guys and I agree it's a bit of a tricky design. I guess if I'm a bit fuller in the middle and slightly shorter it'll fit better but being slim and somewhat athletic a half belt would likely suit me better.
I might go go for slightly more than a inch at the sleeves and roughly an inch...
Hi Mandarin,
I measured my dress shirt, its 45cm at the shoulders (straight across) and 64cm with the sleeves.
I'm guessing that leather is much thicker and can bunch up a bit so, I might have to order shoulders around 18" with 26" sleeves.
And of course a slimmer belly area lol!
Thx
I tried on a premium highwayman in a size 40. Please excuse the bad photography and dressing, I was just wearing a tee n jeans.
I'm the last photo I pulled it down straight a bit and tucked in my tee.
The fit seems ok except the sides balloon out a little and the 25" sleeve is a tad too...
Yes the gastapo wore longer trench jackets that were issued to higher ranking officers so the look caught on.
It doesn't help that Hugo Boss made the uniforms for the SS and the look became associated with all things nazi.
It's sad but some of these designs are really awesome but I won't touch...
I didn't want to encourage the gustapo look or anything nazi related I merely said that was the first ting that came it mind so I used what look similar which was a double breasted jacket as I was not sure what the reaction guys here would have about anything related to that dark period.

I found some photos of a really interesting bootlegger
https://www.thurston-bros.com/products/aero-premier-bootlegger-sz-40-tweed-wool-and-vicenza-horsehide
Like what Carlos840 said, the bootlegger is more aviation than biker like this.
Both the Highwayman and the bootlegger are great...
Unfortunately if the pictures on this post are correct, the switchyard like a lot of Japanese designs is rather A shaped

Either u go custom or Thedi / Himel might have something similar like these jackets...
With this damn bug situation jobs are all unsecured so I'm envious of all of u who have such great jackets. I'm holding off buying any jacket until things stabilise a bit more.
So many companies have gone bust or retrenching staff :(
It's awesome looking but aero won't be making more of those anymore.
It's most unfortunate so if I wanted something similar I'll have to bug Simmons or Greg Field.
Hi HeyZeusPenguin,
My bad as I got u confused with another poster. The pioneer is a really cool looking jacket in fact the moment I saw it i was reminded of the jacket Leo wore in inception sans the chest zip pockets.
I'm still searching for my everlasting jacket too but I'm more inclined...
HeyZeusPenguin, I'm curious how u came to the choice of a Highwayman cos you had initially preferred a trucker jacket?
I'm your earlier posts, you mentioned this is going to ge your first jacket and your budget is in the $350+ you might want to consider the advice given here...
Hi Schmid,
Perhaps you can search on the classifieds or look in ebay but if you can state the size your looking for, there might be other jackets worth considering too.
I remembered that Greg or Honeyman1935 had a Jean jacket for sale too. It's similar to a trucker jacket.
Cheers,
Mawashi
I've been to Cikarang, Jakarta, Bali and a couple of other states but I am one of the weird Asians in that I was born in a hot country but I love the cold.
Even during a tech dive I was only in a 3mm wetsuit and a 1.5mm vest w hood. It was 13 degree at 60m and I loved it lol.
On land 13...
Personally I would focus more on the colour I would wear than what looks better on a jacket.
As I'm slim the only black jackets that would suit me are cafe racers or styles that are less boxy.
If I wore a longer and boxyer style, brown would suit me better.
I don't get how u can wear that in Indonesia. When I was there on a few business trips it was so hot and humid, I was sweating buckets in simple office wear lol.
The only jacket I wore in Indonesia was my diving vest.
