Has anyone tested 5* with a cross zip design, like a bootlegger or hooch, or classic D pocket style?
Way, way back there was a post of their off the shelf 5* cross zip but there has been significant evolution in their ability since, and their leather selection.

Not sure. The shop has all kinds of makes, Canadian, US and European. They have a Cal I tried on a few weeks ago. Way too small for me, sleeves were half way up my arms. They have a Langlitz Columbia marked 40 in near new condition ;)
Thanks, but I realize now the Vanson #’s don’t really tell much without historical sequencing.
Mine is a TB # which I know now is a different sequence altogether.

I'm still intrigued by his statement Vanson have a lot of different leathers available they don't advertise on their website. They'll mail swatches but I find that almost as difficult as looking at paint chips.
