I got it for a great price on Ebay. It was a bit mouldy (as stated by the vendor). A kind of pungent white mould had formed on it, especially the quilted bit. I rubbed it with some white vinegar rinsed it with a damp cloth, left it in strong sunshine, then cleaned and conditioned it with Lexol...
I think it was all earlier the talk of horse urine that took me on this tangent. Yhen I remembered hearing that the president likes to use plenty of Russian horse urine on his textiles. Or did I mishear that?
It's a brilliant Powell and Pressburger movie from 1943 with Roger Livesey. Very prescient and nice jackets too.
Leather jackets are intrinsically political of course. Even the Draft Dodger in Chief wears a military jacket with no trace of irony when it suits. But then I'm a snowflake.
You're not wrong there Tony.
Watching in horror from the UK where we're about to choose a fascist clown too.
Or did you mean the weather? LOL but weeping inwardly
Love the new batch and stunning half belt.
My older batch midnight J106 is developing nicely. So hard to capture the colour on camera. Especially on a dark Scottish evening
Good luck. They do say size down with a Highwayman as it's a boxy design. I wear a size 42 in the Aero sheene/Cafe racer. My Sheene is 23 p2p, 25.5 both arms and back, 19.5 shoulders.
Of course. This jacket: Aero Highwayman bought in late 80s. Size 40, Pit to pit 24, Back 24.5, Shoulders 19.5, Waist 20 cinched, Arms 23.75. I'm 6'1" and weigh 185 lbs. It's short and fits over a tee shirt. I normally wear 42 and longer sleeves and back.
Thanks. 30+ year old brown CXLFQHH is amazing. So characterful. I'm really pleased with the Ogilvie of Airlie light weight tartan remnant that was in a pile at the back of the factory. I love my occasional trips to Galashiels and Melrose on the Tweed.
