It is not too niche of a market AFAIK. I know for a fact that they have fake Real McCoy's deck vest on Taobao and some fake RM Buco tees. I am not talking about copies/knock-offs by Bronson and Bob Dong etc but fake as in with RM labels and tags down to the Ts. I am not sure I have seen any...
H&M and Zara has a wider collection not just "in your face". Granted, people may be more interested in the street wear collection. Uniqlo on the other hand is mostly preppy, some sports or "mountain" styles(Japanese are into the "mountain" i.e. hiking style).
I have a pull-over band collar...
Yes. Opposite side. I only started buying vintage because the repros no longer fit. I put on quite a few pounds and found out that the vintage jackets from 50s or before fit my current frame. Take the A-2 for example, I used to fit perfectly in the Japanese brands size 36 but now has to be a...
My Allstate by Buco J-71 in size 44 arrived today. My J-82 in size 46 is too big. The size 44 fits but not as perfect as my size 42 J-24L.
As to leather and design, Buco is all over the place. J-24L and J-71 in HH and J-82 and J-100 in SH.
My J-24L has the best leather while the 60s J-100 in...
A few years ago, I came across an early Sears Hercules D pocket with the aviator back, black and red plaid. At the time, I did not think it would be this difficult to find another one, so I waited. Have not seen another one in the same condition since then.
I was really tempted (been looking for a short halfbelt like this) when I saw this but then I remember the 6 leather jackets at the various depots coming my way and decided I have hit my quota this month. ;) Congrats.
The seller is either pretending to not know what Real McCoy's is or he genuinely has no idea what RM is. Looking at his history, he does not seem to deal in clothing. In any case, he says you research and consider the bidding on your own terms before making a decision. So a simple google...
Not in the Q&A. Some posted this very question in the Q&A to Seller 質問する回答済み:1件 and seller answer is リアルマッコイズの製品ではないですね - not Real McCoy's. Anyway it is a RM so you are correct regardless.
It is RM. The seller says it's not but says you should do your research. Same RM repro, different size.

Thank you for the info. I am not sure where I read it but I went back to the "Book". I bought the Book a few months ago but have not read it except the Starglove part.
It says second label is 40s to about 1952. It is possible that they still have a bunch of old labels that they use around...
Col. Huglin the CO who must have been in England before the 1st episode? His A-2 does not have any crease or wear. Anyway jacket is the icing, the cake is kind of bland.
I think Buco changed the label after 1951 to the 3rd label. The J-72 is a J-71 with a mouton collar and no zipper stop. J-65 is a J-71 without epaulet and half belt. So not really just a change of numbering.
