I can second what @Aloysius said about QC, I had very bad experience with that. But in theory they are more flexible in terms of alterations and measurement specification. You're getting into 5* gambling territory there though. But in can be mitigated by demanding pre-shipping qc measurement...
I'd definitely consider giving a Vanson Model B a shot. Can be easily found from Japan for 200-300eu - seems like their market is overflooded with this model.
I wouldn't be that bothered by 5% or 12%.
And it's not always enough to declare something a certain value - you have to prove that it's what you paid as well.
Depends on the courier sure. I think last time I just provided the fedex pdf where the value was mentioned as proof to the customs.
But...

The proxy services are nice, but I would really like to just find a member who could proxy for me for a small fee. Then I could cancel out most import taxes, which are usually nuts in my country (33%+).
Thanks for the input!
The sleeve elbow seam position is a bit different between them yeah, so maybe it was a custom job and they shortened the sleeves from the shoulder rather than from the cuff?
Anyway, I'm still really on the fence about the CHP from Japan that I posted.
And I have less...
No idea, long time ago I saved the picture from somewhere on TFL and don't remember what it is. I have quite a few such pictures.
Here's the front though:
Here's another example of something I saved because it shocked me but I don't remember what it is.
My best guess would be Lost Worlds.
Well the way I think about zipped sleeves is that it's a straight up improvement over other kinds for two reasons:
1 . Can zip them up to be warmer and keep the wind out of your sleeves (rarely useful, unless you ride).
2 . More forgiving fit. Nothing will help if the sleeves are too short. But...
Comparing how they fit.
I definitelly like how the brass one fits better. It feels better. Looks cooler.
Shame about the sleeve width.
Will most likely keep only the brass one, no point of keeping the nickel one just for the wider sleeves.
Here's a bit of a Vanson visual dump.
Two Model B jackets, one in the Z150 leather (nickel hardware) and I assume the other one is in comp weight (brass hardware).
Both size 34.
The one with brass hardware is much older, more loved/used. Came from Japan. It is also 3cm shorter in length than the...
