    A gifted Vintage Stetson hat

I have used the resource here, in fact I've used all the resources here to try and find out the specific model name for this particular hat. Every hat pictured in all Miller/ Stockman catalogs since western hats were manufactured and sold have had a specific name given to it. Whether it's a...

I agree and I wish I had more pics but until I receive the hat, I'm totally confused. You're right about being an early Open Road but with a wider brim as far as I can tell. I can't wait to post pics when I can and see what someone can come up with. Thanks for the advice for pointing me in the...

Good insight Bill. Here's what I found out about the hat which still puzzles me. The hat I have pictured is one that is from a website where this hat sold at auction. Not much info on it other than they had it listed as a 1950s Stetson Deluxe Western Fedora. I have found one that I'm waiting for...

My mistake, I meant to say Boss of the Plains in my prior post.

Hatman, the more I look at these photos the more I see that none of them are quite the same as this hat. I noticed on the hat I'm inquiring about; it has a flat brim and a ribbon and bow treatment identical to an Open Plains but with a bound brim. It's a good starting point for sure but there's...

Okay, here is the only pic of the hat I'm asking about. This is the model I'm interested in finding out more information. I do know it is a 1950s, red liner with Royal Deluxe on the sweatband. Seems different than an Open Road.

If you would take the time to read my question correctly you would have noticed that I do not have the actual hat but was only inquiring as to any information to this style of western fedora that Stetson made in the 1950s. Rest assure, if I would have that hat, there would of been photos.

Could someone please give me any more information on a Western hat that Stetson made in the 1950s? I saw a photo of a Western fedora that was very similar to an Open Road. It had a bound brim which was wider than the Open Road, cattleman's crease, and a 1" to 1 1/2" grosgrain ribbon with frayed...

Hi Blare, I started doing some research on the union label on this very sight. From what I found, the union label I have with the type of little insignia at the upper left would date this hat in the 1940s.

Hi Blare, I checked and there isn't any information on the manufacture/ duplicate tag. Here's a full pic of the Union tag as well. Hope this helps.

Hi Blare, No indication anywhere as to the manufacturer. I'll get a better shot of the union tag.

Could anyone shine some light as to the maker of this hat. I can't find any information as to a Royal Park. I've seen a JC Penny's Marathon that looked identical to this, so I'm assuming this one was made by Lee as well. I'm also assuming it's a 1940's model. Any information would be helpful...

Can anyone please tell me when and where Royal Park Hats were made? I can't find any information on this company. This is not the Park Royal hats I see mentioned but it is in fact a Royal Park Deluxe. I would estimate the time period to be late 1940s to early 1950s.
