Cool looking jacket - the color seems to be a greenish gray which complements your pants. I've never seen such a hide on here before. Is it Teradactyl or some other exotic hide? Nonetheless it is a sturdy and well fitting jacket no matter the hide.
Happy 70th B-day! I'm a few years ahead of you and still on the front burner of life for which I'm grateful. You are a beacon of knowledge here on the Lounge and your contributions are as priceless as you are.
Only you can do you so well!
Aero Type III - after about a month in residence, the Type III is really showing it's transformation from new born to a more mature jacket as referenced in the attached images. Sorry the images aren't of the quality that so many posters on this forum submit but they give an idea of how the...
I ordered my Type III (Navy Vicenza) on 18 August and it arrived on 16 Sept. That was super fast turnaround - order # AC011 which I assume was one of the early orders via the new site. The projected 8-10 weeks as referenced when I ordered was half that so I lucked out. I guess the new site...
Nice looking jacket - the fit appears to be ideal. I agree that the grain is unbalanced on the front panels and it would be bother me too - especially for the price of $1,700.00 (usd). As for the grainier side being thinner, I've never seen any jacket with that area worn down/out. If you are...
The jacket looks good and fits you well. I snagged one of these in size 46 on Ebay earlier this year. It was like new in every way - barely worn. It really is a nice jacket and the fit (for me) is just right. The quilted lining is only in the torso as the sleeves are lined in some sort of...
Thanks for your comment. I recall you started a Type III thread with far more images of your assortment of Type III jackets with 2 Vanson Mavericks that are stellar! One in particular is with the zipper/button closure which appears to be a one off. As I noted in my description of my 4 modest...
Just a few images of the quartet of Type III style jackets featuring the recently arrived Aero in the 2nd image. The Vanson is a really sturdy jacket and the leather is acceptable although it took a lot of seasoning to get it look decent. The Schott is just OK and is good for a quick grab-n-go...
Thanks. As this is my first exposure to Vicenza I must say I'm impressed with it. In comparison, I have a regular 1/2 belt in FQ HH and a long 1/2 belt in the super heavy CXL steerhide and the Vicenza is far more wearable than the CXL. Since the Type III is more casual in style this makes...
My Aero Type III arrived today - Hurray!!!
The jacket wasn't expected until Monday 9-19-22 but it came 3 days early. The jacket was shipped on Tuesday and got here in about 3 days from overseas. That is super fast! From initial order placement to receipt it was just about 4 weeks. There...
Thanks for your input regarding duty/fees. The jacket had an OTD price of 615 bp (about 709.00 USD) including the shipping charge so I will hopefully have a nominal fee to forfeit. I understand DHL acts as my agent when processing a package through all the hoops to get it to me so the outlay...
I got notice from Aero today that my Type III is on its way! I placed the official order on 8/18/22 and the arrival date based on DHL is 9/19/22. That sure is a quick turn around from ordering to receiving the jacket. Of course I don't have it yet so the wait begins. I've read of various...
Thanks for your reply and image posting. It appears that your Type III is a size 44 - the same size I ordered! You chose the Black Vicenza which looks really sharp! I provided the requested measurement info and hope the jacket will fit specifically in the chest area. I am a 42-43 chest and...
I ordered an Aero Type III in late August on the new site. I chose the Navy Vicenza w/caramel stitching, Wine cotton sateen lining and the copper buttons. I decided to order the Type III since Aero now has a 'regular' Type III vice the 557XX w/the blanket lining.
I got a msg from Aero about 2...
