I have been thinking about the gun pocket when used as intended and I can’t imagine a less ideal holster to draw from. I have gotten pretty comfortable carrying a single action pistol in a kydex holster iwb cocked and locked, but the Vanson gun pocket just seems like an accident waiting to...
Agreed. I’ve owned a couple beauties that had either sleeves that were too short or a back length that rode above my belt. As much as I liked the jackets, I kept tugging at the sleeves or the back hem, and it wasn’t long before I realized they weren’t for me.
Yeah, and who asked you?
just kidding, and you make a fair point. I actually held off on buying this jacket for a while because the back length is too long, made to work with low rise jeans, which I do not and never will wear. Having said that I feel better in a jacket that is too long rather...
I was surprised to read this post because I think that Vanson makes some of the best fitting jackets out there (although you would never know this from looking at their catalog or website photos). The photo posted by @Bfd70 is a prime example of a good Vanson fit and I think that most of their...
I ordered two Aero’s through Thurston and they both took longer than three months. i would not put much faith in any reference to October production slots.
My first Vanson, a CHP, came with that pocket. I agree with Boyo that it would probably be better to carry on your body, that way if it gets too hot, you can take your jacket off without worrying about your pistol.
As someone who runs his own business and sometimes gets paid in full before final completion of a project I have felt this way myself. When in fact the reality is that your client has trusted you to honor your commitment and shown that trust by paying in advance.
Nothing wrong with that fit at all. It’s definitely on the larger side but a trim fitting A-2 usually means you are fighting the jacket every time you raise your arms.
This is spot on. I have purchased jackets with shoulder measurements that I thought would be too narrow for me, but because of the sleeve construction at the shoulder seam I had plenty of room. I like my jackets to fit a bit roomy, but I agree with what others have said that shoulders that are...
One of the wealthiest men I know is always wearing a white t shirt and old ratty blue jeans. I remember the first time I met him I thought that he might be living in a car, not realizing that he owned several cars, several houses, a few apartment buildings, and commercial property as well...
If I chose a leather jacket it would definitely be a G-1, I just haven’t found any other leather jacket that equals it for freedom of movement and comfort. I have to say, though, I agree with @MrProper that function might be the most important consideration here. Therefore I would probably raid...
I don’t think you are stupid, extremely optimistic perhaps. I have read every word you’ve written in this thread and I’ve looked at the photos, and nothing I’ve seen shows that these guys can make great stuff.
I was thinking the same thing when I read Tom’s post. I have actually had nothing but good results from Good Wear but I have also experienced the spotty communication from John.
As a matter of fact I am in the queue for another one but I have not reached out to John about it, partly due to lack...
My mom bought me a Harley Davidson cafe racer style jacket at a local thrift shop when I was twelve or thirteen. It was the middle of summer in Davis, CA and the thermostat topped 100 every day, but still I went outside in that jacket for as long as I could stand.
