he already bought a bit oversized imo, looked long on him, mine fit me right at the waistbelt, btw you can auto translate on youtube with english caption
I strongly disagree with that youtube rewiever who suggest the jacket to be made 2 or 3 cm longer lol what a joke a long cossack with waistband down to the hip, the handwarmer is high and the opening angle made it even unnatural to rest hands there but making it longer is not the solution, it...
My several yrs old, i got size S, i'm 175cm 60kilos
As with many heritage jacket sleeve repro here the sleeve is a bit too much spreading, so i hand stitch a dart from the top of the shoulder to halfway down to armpit to "fix" it
Other than that i love it, handwarmers a bit high but i like...
posture determines the whole look of your jacket, a perfectly fine jacket would look creased weirdly across the body or flaring out toward the hem if you are slouching in it, it may look like the jacket needs adjustment or doesn't flatter your figure while actually by just standing a bit...
My 16oz zimbabwean thai milled redline selvedge custom/ hybrid type 2 with cinch back, from local denim tailor from 2019 but not a daily worn as i love the denim as is
I think if you plan to order a longer jacket with hand warmer positioned lower like that picture that is mostly affected with creasing run across it when you sit or twist your waist to the side, or reach your pants pocket, then you better have the handwarmer either : cut more slanted, backed...
why would he place his hand on the pants pocket while the jacket comes with handwarmers, perhaps it was purposefully designed to cover the pants pocket to make it more secure perhaps in public setting like in busy tourist area and amusement park from pickpockets, I think buttons would make...
I think the biggest factor is shoulder slope, if the shoulder slope is big so the arm hole is lower, so you carry the back length more toward your neck and not toward your waist and vice versa.
another factor is probably sleeve rotation, if sleeve is a little bit pre rotated forward for riding...
I think nothing will stay on top of leather permanently, unless a thick enamel coat like patent leather glossy coating, so spray whatever water repellent stuff, it will stay on the surface for awhile and then it will rubbed off from wear and wind or whatever, so I won't over think it really.
thank you man, with cardboard like vegtan, all the panels are equally stubborn, so I think its helpful to soften one panel so it will be the designated conforming panel that will collapse and expand as needed just like the shoulder gusset panel, but since the side panel is not sewn in the way...
yes, I pat/stamp dyed the whole hide, I didn't seal it with any varnish, just buffing the dye to get a sheen but eventually it will fade, maybe if the dye fades too far one day I will touch up with diluted dye on some deeper parts.
I put the jacket on a hanger and hold it under a bathroom shower for 5 minutes or so, then i let it drip, and i wear it to dry
Nothing major happens, belt looks a step more broken in.
And i knead on the side panel so it learns to fold naturally just like sleeve cuff webbing. And it helps...
my place is definitely not humid, very different than coastal area or places like hongkong, it was dry within 3 hours from body heat and moving air , i think just plain cold water won't damage the leather much, its less damaging than wearing it on rainy day since rain water may carry air...
