I had the crooner in my cart to buy, but it was sold out before I checked out last time I bought tobacco. Never had deer tongue before and wanted to try it.
It took a week, but I read this thread from the beginning. Too bad so many of the old pics are lost.
My only decent boots are a pair of kangaroo Dan Post I picked up in Dallas in 1995, mostly for the color.
Now I really want some pee wees. (Thanks dh66)
It’s one thing I never pay attention to. I will reach up and grab it on occasion to adjust the beret without pulling my hair all around, but that’s about it.
The heather green color and drape of this Boneteria Aoteatoa make it one of my absolute favorites. Enjoying a Nording compass pipe after cleaning up Christmas decorations.
Dan,
What is your favorite boina?
Not by brand or quality, but which individual hat is special for whatever reason. With your exposure to so many it would be interesting to hear which and why.
Thank you!
It’s actually a heavy-weight Woolrich shirt, layered over a mid-weight Pendleton shirt. I love wool and look forward to the cold so I can get it out and wear it.
Agreed, I think the taper contributes to that small feeling but, like all Akubras they are tough, well made hats and will serve you well for casual use.
We don’t see them often, but I’m pretty sure I’ve posted mine before. I find the taper and smallish brim lead me to choose other Akubras ahead of it, so it mostly sits.
Heading out in a Sterkowski Hamburg. I’m surprised we don’t see more Sterkowskis here. They are well made and reasonably priced.
I chose this model as I have no other fisherman style caps and it seemed a bit unique among them.
