Absolutely it is. They can be the same oz and tanned the same way and no one knows the difference. Horse is cool because that’s what was used as the primary-notice I say primary because cow and goat and deer, bison have been used for centuries as well. But horse was the primary leather until the...
They definitely have that classic NYC area rockstar look. Like I could see The Ramones, NY Dolls The Libertines(yes UK but fit the look) , The Strokes rocking their jackets. And just from pictures cause again never saw one in person they look like good leather, solid hardware.
Yeah I went down this rabbit hole myself a few times just out of curiosity. Like you said some of the leather used and hardware has been terrible. Some of them look incredibly well sourced and well made. But staggering the fluctuations in quality and materials; which sucks in general but also...
As an example a lot of these date to the 90s early 2000s which would be RMC NZ or the start of them being Japan. Long before tea-core and shinki were the biggest fads. And when Harley was where the money was at before Buco blew up.
RMC New Zealand is the OG OG RMC. And that fits the timeline. And actually now makes sense Ive seen some older two tone jackets from that era....as well as some really cool Harley as well as Buco repros from that time.
Yeah all things considered for being a “fashion” brand it’s a really nice looking jacket. One I would not mind owning If I had 2,000+ to just throw around.
WIth whats being talked about now it brings up an interesting further debate haha. Cause if theres something we all love here its debating and going off on tangents.
But artist versus craftsmen. If Himel is literally sitting down and drawing and designing his jackets then he deserves a world of...
Interesting I cant tell you why...but I prefer unzipped with the collar on. Zipped it looks better without......no good reason why just how it looks to me haha. Regardless it looks awesome and the details look perfect from afar at least. Hope to see that review.
Dont know about Langlitz but Schott definitely still is. They are on like 4th generation of the Schott family running the business. We can debate whether they are doing a good job, or are their products worth it etc.......but it is nice its still technically a family business run with a small...
Oh hell yeah. Now that’s the dream Tony and Terry hanging on the porch! It would be like the stoop in Sesame Street. Never know who else might just stroll up.
This is a great jacket to introduce people to Vanson. Classic biker/double riders/Perfecro front. A bit of a different back design, looks badass of the bike, works on a bike for sure. And appears to be made of a good batch of leather. Nice intro to Vanson. Checks all the major boxes of what a...
