I've just ordered a waxed cotton jacket. Traditional Trialmaster style, you know the drill. But not a Belstaff.
As you may remember, I've always erred towards waxed cotton rather than leather, even though you're probably thinking "who is this bloke again?" because I haven't posted for ages...
I wouldn't lengthen that at all. It looks really good as is (apart from the sleeve length), and hits on your belt even with your arms outstretched.
If you add length I think it would look too long and weird.
Similarly, my one-jacket-to-rule-them-all is a Barbour. Mine is an International in olive.
I just can't find anything to replace it that's anywhere near as versatile.
I wore a jacket today, sort of.
Even though it's been about five hundred degrees in the blazing sunshine, I couldn't not go out for a ride.
Unfortunately I was too busy riding to take a picture, but it was this;
It wears and fits just like a normal raw denim Western shirt, but it's fully...
I have some Goldtop Bobber gloves inbound, in British Racing Green.
I have quite a few pairs of nice riding gloves so I'm interested to see how these stack up for quality and comfort.
Thoughts to follow.
I think jackets is over for me for now. The last two weeks I've been out for my Saturday morning hike in the woods in just a t shirt, and was plenty warm.
This afternoon I went into town in just a t shirt and I was boiling.
That might be that, unless I'm riding, until probably September I reckon.
Goldtop themselves are pretty open to custom colours. When I went in there and spoke to Tony at the store, he reckoned they could make any of their designs in any of their colour range.
Apologies first and foremost because my phone camera really is total garbage.
But this morning I was wearing my Detroit-alike by The Stronghold while I pranced about the woods. No zipped up pictures because as always within seconds of setting out I was boiling hot.
Anyway, otherwise I felt...
Can I ask why this is please?
For me, how well it fits and how nicely made it is would probably be more important than where it's made.
Unless I knew it was made under horrible conditions, obv.
